Terms of use

These terms set out the rules for using the Plastic Factory website and sending enquiries through it. They apply to visitors, business users and anyone acting on behalf of a company or close corporation.

Using the site for lawful business purposes

This website is provided for business use by packers, buyers and procurement teams looking for injection moulded containers, tubs, lids and related packaging information. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully, with accurate details, and without interfering with the site or any linked systems.

You must not use the site to submit false enquiries, copy content for resale, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site. If your use creates a security risk or disrupts normal operation, access may be restricted at the discretion of the operator, Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd acting for Plastic Factory.

  • Use the site only for lawful enquiries and general business communication.
  • Do not interfere with site functions, forms or related systems.
  • Do not submit misleading or incomplete information where it affects a quotation or product discussion.

Product information and order discussions

Information on polypropylene and HDPE containers, tubs, lids, tamper seals and packing line fitment is provided as general product guidance. It is intended to help buyers assess packaging options for food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic goods. Any discussion of sizes, materials, colours or fitment must be confirmed through direct specification for the intended use.

Plastic Factory supplies packaging in line with agreed requirements, including custom tub design, lid development, material selection, mould development and trial production runs. Product descriptions on the site do not replace a final order specification, and they do not create a binding obligation until the particulars have been confirmed in writing through the enquiry process.

  • Specifications must match the product use and filling process.
  • Colour references may vary between production batches.
  • Trial runs and line fit checks are used to confirm practical suitability.

Content, images and site material

All text, images, layout elements and compiled site content remain the property of Plastic Factory or are used with permission. You may view the site and print limited copies for internal business reference, provided the material is not altered, sold, published elsewhere or used to misrepresent the business.

Nothing on the site gives permission to reproduce product photography, technical notes or written material for a competing publication, catalogue or sales channel. If you need to use any material beyond ordinary viewing, written permission must be obtained before use.

  • Do not copy site content into third party listings or quotations.
  • Do not edit images or text in a way that changes meaning.
  • Do not claim ownership of product descriptions or design notes.

Enquiries, quotes and commercial decisions

Enquiries sent through the contact form are treated as business communications and may be used to assess product fit, order volumes, packing format and logistics for delivery to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, Alberton and Germiston. Any quotation, sample discussion or packing recommendation is based on the details supplied by the enquirer.

A quotation is not an automatic acceptance of an order. Product availability, tooling requirements, colour matching guidance, stock run planning and secondary packing advice all depend on the information shared and the final manufacturing instructions agreed between the parties. If details change, the quote or recommendation may also change.

  • Provide full pack sizes, intended use and delivery location where relevant.
  • Confirm any special handling needs for food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic packing.
  • Check that the person submitting an enquiry is authorised to do so.

Limits on liability and site availability

The site is provided on an ordinary business basis. While reasonable care is taken with content, errors may occur and information may be updated without notice. Plastic Factory and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd are not liable for losses arising from interrupted access, outdated material, or decisions made only from website content without further confirmation.

To the fullest extent allowed under South African law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. That includes loss linked to business interruption, missed packing schedules or reliance on information that should have been checked against the final product specification. Nothing in these terms removes liability where the law will not allow that limit.

  • Site access may be suspended for maintenance or security reasons.
  • Technical faults may affect availability at any time.
  • Users remain responsible for final commercial and production checks.

Governing law and contact channel

The laws of South Africa apply to these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site or the content published on it will be dealt with under South African law and in the ordinary course of business. The site is operated for Plastic Factory by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd.

For enquiries about product details, order discussions or site related matters, use the enquiry form on the contact page.
